ACS – Publishing conditions 2023

• Eligibility​
  • Corresponding author affiliated to a b-on member institution with access to ACS¹.
  • Article type: all articles with some exceptions such as eBooks and additions or corrections or editorials; ​
  • Acceptance date for publication – until December 31st 2023²;​
• Publication route
  • Hybrid journals: up to 89 articles in 2023 in ACS hybrid journals from this list;​
  • GOA Journals: not included in this agreement.

• How to benefit from OA conditions:​​
  1. The author declares their institutional affiliation at submission¹;
  2. After accepting the article, ACS notifies the author of the eligibility for open access publication under the b-on agreement;
  3. b-on is notified of the intention of the author to publish in open access and proceed to verify the affiliation on the AIP portal.

¹ Authors must choose their affiliation from the dropdown options to ensure the institution triggers the agreement eligibility on the platform.

² The quota of covered articles is renewed by 01/01/2024;
