  • TERMS AND CONDITIONS

SAGE allows the corresponding authors of the b-on institutions to deposit the accepted version of the manuscript in the Institutional Repository without any period of embargo. The final version can only be deposited after 6 months in the case of Sciences (STM) and 12 months in the case of Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH).

APC’s of £ 200 have been negotiated for publication in the hybrid journals that are part of the institution’s subscribed collections and 20% discounts for APCs in the gold open access journals of this publisher.

  • HOW IT WORKS?

In order to benefit from these conditions, the correspondent author  must have a connection with a b-on institution.

Publication in hybrid journals

The article must be accepted for publication in a journal that is part of the collections subscribed by the institution of the corresponding author.
Upon acceptance of the article the corresponding author receives an e-mail from the publisher with the request to fill out a form that must then be returned. The form asks for a code that should be requested to the library of the author’s institution.

Publication in gold journals – 20% discount

To request a 20% discount, a code is required.
After the article is accepted, the corresponding author receives an email for payment containing a link to the RightsLink Author Payment Portal.

The APC value of the article is displayed and authors can apply the discount code and proceed with the payment. Corresponding authors should contact their library to request the discount code. The corresponding author can also send an email to apcqueries@sagepub.co.uk to request the code.
