Authors of articles published in Wiley journals may deposit the pre-printed version of the article immediately upon its acceptance.
The accepted (peer-reviewed) version can only be deposited after an embargo period of 12 months for STM journals and 24 months for SSH journals.

The accepted version of an article (version that incorporates all corrections made during the peer review process but before the final published version) can be filed at:

  • author’s personal websites
  • author’s institutional repository
  • nonprofit repositories

This version should include the following information on the first page: “This is the peer reviewed version of the following article: [FULL CITE], which has been published in final form at [Link to final article using the DOI]. This article may be used for non-commercial purposes in accordance with Wiley Terms and Conditions for Self-Archiving. “

The deposited version cannot be updated or replaced with the final published version (latest version of the article).
